16th Marriage Anniversary

It has been almost one year when I updated this blog. Lots have changed in our lives since then. This photo was taken on 1st September 2011 on our anniversary.

Budding Architect

Swastika sports my site hat. The airport express line project at Delhi is soon going to start, which will allow for first time international passengers a direct connectivity to city centre from terminal 3.

New Car & Binsar Visit

A new addition to our family the all new Tata Manza. We drove to Binsar a Himalayan retreat high up in Kumaon hills. The drive was fantastic and the car scaled the heights without any complaints. A 1400km trip costed us a fuel of Rs.3000/- only.

Hong Kong - February 2010

The official visit to Hong Kong was a hectic one. I had to see the MRTS stations in the city, which is one of the modern cosmopolitan heaven as well. Some pictures from the trip, the special train & metro station for Hong Kong Disneyland was amazing concept.

My parents 41st anniversary made them catch a flight to Srinagar and they sent me these pictures of their trip to the snowy crown state of India.

Mumbai after 15 years

After 15 long years I am back in Mumbai, the city which made me an Architect. Though the city still has its charm of carefree attitude and machine life as before, it has become very crowded. Cars, cars & cars everywhere. On the narrow roads, on footpaths and on sidewalks. There is no parking space left in the city and I am thinking of not to purchase a car here. Instead I will help the city to get its first MRTS and be the part of team to make it somewhat more comfortable in terms of public transport.

Visited on my first day in Mumbai, this temple at Jeevdani mata in Virar. In 20 years the green spaces have been developed into concrete jungle. Earlier some farmhouses and gaothans only could be seen amidst the lush green surroundings.

Summer 2009 - Bahadurgarh

This year the summers in Delhi have been exceptionally hotter. Monsoon has been late as well. But at Bahadurgarh, the wind is cooler thanks to the waterbodies and greenery all around. I am glad that next time when I come home from Dubai, I don't have to go back for a 9-5 job. Less than a month now and I shall be enjoying the peaceful relaxation at home.

Dubai Duty Free and Our Home Cinema

26th February 2009. We were returning to Delhi when at Dubai duty free my wife saw this projector. She insisted that I buy this one. The price tag was high and our home cinema hall still unused. I pursuaded her in not buying it this time and we went to coffee shop. She will not have the coffee and made a promotion campaign for the projector. Her words: Abhi nahi to kab lenege hum? Arrey abhi sasta hai !! We have been to cinema only once in thirteen years !! So I went to ATM, withdrew cash and started my negotiations with the sales girl.

Next thing I know that I was installing this projector at my first floor hall. And my whole family enjoyed the show of "Anna and the King".
Wife is always right....

Mustard fields in Delhi

January 2009, temperatures dipped to 2 degrees. Mustard fields on Delhi's outskirts provide for a perfect outing to enjoy the weather. As kids enjoy the 'Cold wave holidays', Mudit my sister's son joins us for fun. I have to return to Dubai tomorrow and certainly going to miss the winter season of Delhi.
